Makki · 11 ayat · 11 with pondering
- Ayah 1Before a word of comfort, He swears by the forenoon: the hour when the sun has climbed and nothing is left in the dark.

- Ayah 3In your silent season your Lord has not said goodbye to you, and He has not turned against you.
- Ayah 4What comes after is better for you than what came first: the best of your story is not behind you.
- Ayah 5The gift is certain even if it is late, and it does not stop until you are content.
- Ayah 6Before you had words for loneliness, you were found, gathered in and brought home.
- Ayah 7You were found, the way a lost traveller is found, and shown the road you could not have found alone.
- Ayah 8He found you with empty hands and made you free of need, and the only One truly rich is the One who did it.
- Ayah 9You were the orphan once; now no orphan should ever feel your power pressing down on him.
- Ayah 10You were once in need and not turned away; so never drive off the one at your door, asking for bread or an answer.
- Ayah 11The surah ends by turning comfort into a voice: speak of what your Lord has given you, and keep it fresh.
