Essence
Musa draws out his hand and it shines white for all who look; the same words stand at 7:108, where the fuller entry lives.
A reflection
Two proofs where one was demanded
This ayah repeats 7:108 word for word, and its fuller treatment lives there. Here, one detail of the setting stands out.
Pharaoh had said, 'Bring it' (26:31). One thing was demanded. The staff alone would have answered him. Yet a second sign follows at once, without being asked for. One report in the commentaries has Pharaoh asking whether Musa had anything else, before the hand was drawn out.
Another surah names the pair directly: 'These are two proofs from your Lord' (28:32). The evidence Allah gives tends to exceed what the doubter requests. One sign moves; the other shines. One is outside Musa, the other is his own body.
The refusal that followed, then, was not for lack of proof. It was refusal in the face of more proof than was ever asked.
