Al-Ahqaf 46:13
“Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allāh," and then remained on a right course - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.”

Essence
Say 'our Lord is Allah', then keep standing on it: Allah Himself declares that no fear will reach you and no grief will roughen you.
A reflection
This time, no messenger in between
This ayah has a near twin in Fussilat. There, those who say 'our Lord is Allah' and stand firm are visited by angels. They descend and say: do not fear and do not grieve (41:30). Here the same people are described, but there are no angels in the sentence. The promise is simply stated: no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.
One classical commentator noticed the difference and drew a moving conclusion. In Fussilat, the angels carry the good news. Here, the intermediary is removed, and the Real Himself announces it. Put the two ayat together, he says, and the believers receive this news twice: through the angels, and from Allah without any go-between.
Picture a junior architect who has worked for months on her first major design. On Friday a colleague tells her, in passing, that the client loved it. She is pleased. On Monday morning her phone rings. It is the client himself, an older man she has only met once. He tells her, in his own words, what the design means to him and his family. She sits down on the stairs. The news was the same. Hearing it directly was something else entirely.
The ayah gives the steadfast that second kind of hearing. Not only a report of His pleasure, but His own word: no fear upon them.
If you have been trying, for years perhaps, to hold to 'our Lord is Allah' through hard seasons, read this ayah as addressed to you. It does not come through a third party. It comes from the One whose approval you were working for. Let it be heard that way. Read it aloud once, slowly, and notice that the sentence has no one standing between you and the One speaking it.
