Muhammad 47:32
“Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allāh and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allāh at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.”

Essence
Those who split away from the Messenger after seeing the truth imagine they are wounding Allah's cause; they will not harm Him in the least.
A reflection
The sun rises anyway
"They will never harm Allah in the least." The sentence is brief and absolute. Lan, never. Shayʾan, not a single thing.
One classical commentator explains what this answers. The opponents thought their quarrel was with the Messenger ﷺ, and that by opposing him they were striking at his cause. In truth, he says, the quarrel was with Allah. The Messenger's only duty is to deliver. They might cause him pain. But Allah is far above being harmed by anyone's disbelief or anyone's sin. A concise commentary adds the other half: they harm only themselves.
That is a deep humbling for human pride. People who oppose faith often imagine themselves as powerful, even heroic. They are pushing against God. But nothing they do touches Him.
Picture a sulking teenager on a family camping trip. Everyone else has risen early to watch the sunrise over the lake. He refuses, out of protest, and stays in his sleeping bag with his face to the tent wall. The sun rises anyway, magnificent, over everyone else. His protest changes nothing about the sun. It only changes what he sees.
The ayah also humbles a different kind of ego: the believer's. Those who imagine they must defend God's honour, as if He were fragile, have misunderstood Him too. He is not harmed by His opponents, and He is not rescued by His defenders. Both need Him. He needs neither.
The right response to opposition, then, is neither panic nor arrogance. It is calm. Do what Allah asks of you. Leave His cause in His hands. It has never been in danger.
