Luqman 31:11
“This is the creation of Allāh. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error.”

Essence
All this is Allah's making; now name one thing the others have made, and see how plainly worship has been misplaced.
A reflection
"Show Me"
After a whole ayah of sky, mountains, creatures and rain, the Quran gestures at all of it: hādhā khalqu Allāh, this is Allah's creation. Then it turns to those who worship others beside Him: fa-arūnī, so show Me. What have they created?
One classical scholar could not contain his admiration for the wording. How sweet it is, he wrote, how brief, and how clearly it exposes shirk. It traps the claim in a dilemma. If they say their gods created something, they must produce it. If they admit their gods are weaker than that, then their divinity is empty.
Sahih al-Bukhari reports a hadith qudsi that presses the same challenge. Allah says: who does greater wrong than one who sets out to create as I create? Let them create an atom. Let them create a grain, or a single barley seed.
Picture a laboratory that grows diamonds. The press is extraordinary, the heat precise, the stones flawless. The announcement says 'we have created a diamond'. Yet every atom of carbon in it came from somewhere they did not make. The heat came from power they did not originate. They rearranged, brilliantly. They did not bring a single atom out of nothing.
That is the ego's real situation. We are makers in the way a child with building blocks is a maker. It is a real skill, and it is a gift. But 'I made this' is always a sentence with a borrowed subject. Before Him, every human workshop is a room full of rearranged gifts.
Does He need us to admit it? No; He is free of need and praised in Himself (31:12). The challenge is for us. It frees us from bowing to anything that, asked to show its work, has nothing to show.
