Al-Qari'ah 101:7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
“He will be in a pleasant life.”

Essence
The reward is not described by a single object, only by a life that is itself pleased: a life that no longer resists you, and never leaves.
A reflection
A life that is itself pleased
A woman in her late sixties has arthritis in both hands. Every jar lid is a negotiation. The front door key needs two attempts. Buttons, tin openers, the stiff tap in the bathroom: each small thing pushes back. None of it is a tragedy. Together they make every day feel like walking uphill.
Most of us know a version of that. The printer that jams before the deadline. The bus that pulls away as you reach the stop. The body that aches in the morning. Life in this world has friction built in. It resists.
Now look closely at the words of this ayah. Fa-huwa fī ʿīshatin rāḍiya: he will be in a life that is rāḍiya. Grammatically, the word describes the life itself as pleased. Classical scholars explain it in more than one way. One view: a life full of contentment, which its owner is pleased with. Another: an active form carrying a passive sense, a life that is found pleasing.
A third reading takes the grammar at its word, and it is beautiful. The life itself gives its consent. It yields and complies with its people. One classical commentator pictures the blessings of Paradise lowering themselves as the friend of Allah approaches. The Quran itself describes fruit 'hanging low within reach' (69:23) and springs made to gush forth wherever its people wish (76:6). Nothing pushes back.
So the reward is not only a better place. It is the end of friction. No stiff lids, no locked doors, no body that fails you, no plan that collapses at the last minute. A life that is on your side.
That reading does not ask us to despise this world's friction. Some of our best growth comes from it, and patience with it is itself weighed. But it gives the tired person something to look forward to that fits the shape of their tiredness.
Where does life push back hardest against you at the moment? Bring that exact thing to Allah tonight. And let the ayah remind you that the resisting is not forever.
