Ali 'Imran 3:5
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ
“Indeed, from Allāh nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.”

There is One who has the unedited footage of your life, and no request of yours is ever lost in His queue.
A reflection
The unedited footage
A man spends a Sunday evening tidying his online life before a new job starts. He archives old photos, rewords a gap, crops a friend out of a picture. By midnight six hundred people know a slightly better man than the one at the keyboard. He goes to bed pleased, and faintly lonely.
Inna llāha lā yakhfā ʿalayhi shayʾ: nothing at all is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heaven. One modern commentary spells out what 'nothing' contains: the outward and the inward, the small and the large. Another explains why earth and heaven are named. They are as far as human senses reach. Everything you could ever perceive, and everything beyond it.
The verb gave its first hearers a picture. The small feathers tucked beneath a bird's great flight feathers were khawāfī: they vanish whenever the wing folds. A deep well whose water cannot be seen was khafiyya, and so was the thicket where a lion lies. Everything we fold away is still there to Him.
Most of what we call our standing is built on what others cannot see. The reputation is the edited film; we alone know the cut scenes. Pride lives in that gap. It is the comfortable feeling that the edit is the truth.
This ayah closes the gap. There is One who has the unedited footage: the motive behind the generous act, the thought behind the clever remark. Before Him, performance is pointless. The ego cannot pose for a camera that already sees behind the pose.
Why tell us this? Not because He needs to be admired for His knowledge; 'you are the poor ones in need of Allah' (35:15). It is for us. Whoever knows he is fully seen can stop managing his image and start mending himself. There is mercy in it too: the good you did that nobody noticed was not lost.
Tonight, think of one thing about you that only Allah knows. If it is a fault, ask Him to cover it and help you change. If it is a hidden good, leave it hidden.
