Fussilat 41:12
“And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired [i.e., made known] in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps [i.e., stars, for beauty] and as protection.[1387] That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.”

Essence
Seven heavens finished like a master's mail, each with its own command, the nearest hung with lamps: the work of the Mighty, the Knowing.
A reflection
Power and knowledge, never apart
The creation account ends with a signature. Dhālika taqdīru al-ʿazīzi al-ʿalīm: that is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knowing. One classical commentator stops to admire the choice. The Mighty points to perfect power, he says, and the Knowing to perfect knowledge. And how fitting an ending, because such works are impossible without complete power and encompassing knowledge.
That pairing is worth sitting with, because human beings almost never have both. Picture a wealthy donor who funds a new hospital wing in his name. He chooses the architect, the marble and the opening date. Nobody consults the nurses. On the first morning, they discover the doors are a few centimetres too narrow for the beds. He had the power. He lacked the knowledge.
Others have the opposite problem. The expert nobody funds, the adviser nobody hears: knowledge without power.
Most human failure lives in one of those gaps. Most human pride ignores them. We overrate whichever one we happen to have. The rich think money is wisdom. The clever think insight is control.
Seven heavens, ordered and lit, and a whole earth measured for its creatures, could only come from One in whom neither gap exists. A sceptic might ask whether ending with His own names is a kind of self-congratulation. But the names are not applause. They are the explanation of what was just described, given to the reader so that the reader understands. One commentary glosses them as mighty in His dominion, and knowing His creation.
So the ego is put in its place twice over. Whatever you are proudest of, your strength or your intelligence, you hold half of what built the sky. And the One who holds both in full has measured your life as carefully as He measured the stars.
