Ad-Dukhan 44:58
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
“And indeed, We have eased it [i.e., the Qur’ān] in your tongue that they might be reminded.”

Essence
The surah gathers itself into one line: Allah made this Book easy in the Prophet's own tongue, so that people would remember.
A reflection
The ease is His gift
Fa-innamā yassarnāhu bi-lisānika laʿallahum yatadhakkarūn: We have only made it easy in your tongue, so that they may remember.
The speaker is the One who sent down a Book from beyond the heavens. And He says: We made it easy. The commentaries explain what that means. We made it easy, says one, by sending it down in Arabic, in your language, so that your people would understand. Another: We made its reading easy, so that the deniers might take its lessons and reflect on its signs. An early authority added a personal note. We made it easy means: We set his tongue free with it.
The Speech of the Lord of the worlds, placed gently in a human tongue.
A world-famous astronomer visits a primary school. A seven-year-old asks why the stars twinkle. He could answer with equations. Instead he kneels down to her height and explains it with a glass of water and a torch. She understands. Her teacher, watching, sees that the simple answer was the harder one to give.
If a human expert's simplicity is a kindness, the ease of the Quran is far more. It is grace, not a lowering of truth.
This is where the ego must step back. When the Quran feels clear, it is tempting to think we have mastered it. The ayah says the ease was made. It was given.
Does Allah need to remind us of this, as if seeking our thanks? The ayah gives its own purpose: so that they may remember. The reminder is for us, so that we do not waste a gift made so near.
