Al-An'am 6:59
“And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.”

Essence
The keys to everything hidden are with Him alone, and the proof offered is a single leaf He watched fall.
A reflection
The model that stopped working
With Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them but He. The word order makes the point before the meaning does. 'With Him' comes first, and in Arabic that fronting narrows it. With Him, and with no one else.
Think of a quantitative analyst whose trading model has read the market correctly for three years. Colleagues call her the oracle. She has begun, without quite noticing, to believe it. Then one Tuesday the model is wrong, badly, and nobody in the building can say why. For a week she is very quiet.
The ego feeds on prediction. Knowing what is coming feels like controlling it. Data, forecasts, the confident 'I knew this would happen': each is a small claim to stand where only Allah stands. The ayah does not mock human knowledge. It simply locates the keys. We sometimes stand near a door. We have never held the key.
That is humbling, and it is meant to be. The analyst's week of silence was the most honest week of her career. It was the first time she knew the size of what she did not know.
A sceptic may ask whether a God who announces that He alone knows the unseen is boasting. But a boast claims what one does not have, or claims it to be admired. Allah needs no one's admiration; He is free of need (35:15). The announcement is for us. It tells us where to take our anxiety about tomorrow, and frees us from pretending we carry it ourselves.
The humble person is not the one who knows least. It is the one who knows where the keys are kept.
