Makki · 45 ayat · 45 with pondering
- Ayah 1Praise belongs to the One who began the heavens and earth with no model to copy, and who gave His messengers wings.
- Ayah 2Every door of mercy opens from His side alone: none can shut what He opens, and none can force what He keeps closed.
- Ayah 3Remember who made you and who keeps feeding you from sky and soil; once that is clear, ask what has turned you to face elsewhere.
- Ayah 4Being disbelieved is the old road every messenger walked, and every matter, yours and theirs, is sent back to Allah in the end.
- Ayah 5Allah's promise is true, so do not let the near life's surface, or the Deceiver's talk about Allah, catch you with your guard down.
- Ayah 6Satan is your enemy, so treat him as one: every invitation he sends has a fixed purpose, to bring those who answer into the Blaze.
- Ayah 7Two destinies in one breath: severe punishment for those who deny, and for believers who do good, forgiveness first, then a great wage.
- Ayah 8One who sees his evil as good is unlike the guided; guidance is Allah's, so let no grief wear your soul away.
- Ayah 9Wind stirs, cloud is driven, dead ground turns green; the ayah slows so you can watch, then says the rising is the same.
- Ayah 10Everyone wants honour, all of it is Allah's, and the way to it is a good word rising to Him, lifted by a deed.
- Ayah 11From dust to a drop to a pair, every pregnancy known, every lifespan written to its last day, and all of it easy for Allah.
- Ayah 12Two waters that look alike are not equal, one sweet and one burning, yet both feed, adorn and carry you, so that you give thanks.
- Ayah 13The One who slides night into day owns everything; whatever else you call on does not own the skin of a date-stone.
- Ayah 14What you call on besides Allah cannot hear you, could not answer, and will disown you on the Day.
- Ayah 15Need is not an occasional visitor; it is what you are made of, and the One you need lacks nothing and gives.
- Ayah 16If He wills, He removes you and brings a new creation; that you are still here is His choice, renewed every day.
- Ayah 17Removing a whole people and bringing a new creation costs Allah no effort at all, because He needs none of us.
- Ayah 18No relative can lift a gram of another's load on the Day; today, warning helps the reverent, and purity profits only its owner.
- Ayah 19The one who sees the way and the one blind to it are not equal, yet blindness is a state that can lift.
- Ayah 20Darkness and light never meet in the middle; even the sharpest eye needs light, and light needs an open way in.
- Ayah 21Shade and scorching wind are not equal: two destinations, and two ways of living even now, with mercy named first.
- Ayah 22Only Allah carries a word across the gap between life and death into a heart; your part is to stay alive enough to hear.
- Ayah 23Four words fix the warner's task: to see the danger, feel it first, and say it with love, leaving the hearing to Allah.
- Ayah 24He was sent with the truth, good news first, and no people in any age has been left without someone to warn them.
- Ayah 25Denial is old and the proofs were always clear; the Book lights up for whoever looks into it, so grief need not win.
- Ayah 26When the messengers have said all they were sent to say, the outcome passes to Allah alone, and He takes hold only after long patience.
- Ayah 27One rain falls, and from it come fruits of every shade and mountains streaked white, red and raven-black: endless variety from a single source.
- Ayah 28After fruit, rock, people and animals, the ayah pauses: those who truly know Allah do not swagger but grow still before Him, Mighty and Forgiving.
- Ayah 29Those who keep reciting, praying and giving from Allah's provision, quietly and openly, hope for a trade that never goes stale.
- Ayah 30He pays His servants their wages to the brim, then adds from His bounty, for He forgives what was flawed and thanks what was small.
- Ayah 31The Book given to the Prophet ﷺ is the truth that steadies earlier truth, sent by One who knows His servants inside and out.
- Ayah 32Allah handed His Book to people He chose, and the first of them He named was the one who wrongs himself.
- Ayah 33The three heirs of the Book are shown their destination first, then brought in and adorned inside, with plenty of what no one needs.
- Ayah 34The first words of the Garden are praise for the One who took every grief away, spoken by people who now see His promise kept.
- Ayah 35Their first words in the Garden credit grace alone: He settled them for good, where neither toil nor the tiredness after it can touch them.
- Ayah 36For those who covered the truth and its gifts, the Fire neither ends nor eases, and the exit they counted on is not theirs.
- Ayah 37They scream for one more chance, but the chance was the life already given: years enough to remember, and a warner who came.
- Ayah 38He knows everything hidden in the heavens and the earth, and the most hidden thing of all: what your chest carries.
- Ayah 39He placed you where others stood before; whoever refuses Him carries the cost alone, and each refusal deepens loathing and loss.
- Ayah 40Every rival to Allah fails three tests, creation, a share in the heavens and a revealed book, and survives only on false promises people trade.
- Ayah 41Allah alone keeps the heavens and earth from slipping away; no one else could hold them, and He holds them with forbearance towards His deniers.
- Ayah 42They swore that, given a warner, they would outshine every nation in guidance; when one came, his coming only drove them further away.
- Ayah 43Arrogance breeds hidden plotting, but the plot comes home to its maker, and Allah's way with plotters is never swapped and never redirected.
- Ayah 44Stronger nations could not outrun Him; nothing in the heavens or the earth slips past the One who knows all and can do all.
- Ayah 45Were people taken to task for all they earned, nothing would be left on earth; Allah defers them to a named term and sees them.
